Thematic Mapping on Spatial Data

At FWS, we provide information that is specific to a geospatial location. Using GIS software we import location identifier parameter to create a text file. We use place name and gazetteer to create thematic maps in time-series online. This will accelerate the common workflow and allows using online services for data redistribution.

Automation of Geographical Coordinates

Using automated graphic coordinates and feature discovery, our team performs visualization and geospatial analysis to help clients with no prior experience in geographic information systems to interpret the time-series for geospatial data through map services. With the automation of geographical coordinates, we provide general information on spatial patterns.

Pattern Comparison

We use thematic mapping to perform pattern comparison of map colors and use legends with names, numbers, and other identifiers. We also assign different themes for ranges, individual, pie charts, dot density, and graduated elements. For instance in the case of -

Range We identify the number of range from the theme and it is bifurcated accordingly. We specify the range color based on user needs

Individual We assign a unique color to the individual value so that small value can be found from large data sets.

Pie charts We obtain pie chart specifications and use a theme generator to make a pie with all required fields. We design the pie so that its value can be used for comparison.

Dot Density We create themes with an assortment of dots representing value and the total number of dots gives a fuller definition of the value represented.

Graduated We create a theme from a symbol after close consultation with the user so that the symbol can be represented in many sizes with the equivalent value
