The Client

The client is a leading pharmacy chain which operates stores from some of the major international airports in the world including the pharmacy and cosmetics duty-free store at the Singapore Changi airport.

The Requirement

The client was looking for a custom application development partner who could help them develop an application which would extract complete sales data into their reporting systems. They wanted an application which would convert the data into the required format and insert into the reporting tool.

The Challenges

• The sales would occur on different applications in multiple Point of Sale (PoS) locations in Singapore and Australia
• There were two separate applications and making them work simultaneously was a challenge

• Our team came up with an innovative idea of building a bridge between the two apps which would extract data from the PoS and send it to the reporting tool
• We collaborated with the PoS vendor and requested them to save the data in text format and upload it to the server
• We developed an app using .NET technology which would be used to login into the SFTP server and extract the information
• The app will extract the information, convert it into the required format, and insert it into the reporting tool
• The reporting tool will read the data and generate the required reports

The Results

The client was extremely delighted with the working of the application developed by our team. The app operates on its own even at midnight and there is absolutely no need for any kind of human intervention.
