The Client

The customer is a leading software and mobile application development company based in Houston, Texas. The customer was a leading application provider that laid a solid foundation for flight planning and other operations. They serve the needs of pilots and other flight units around the world, as well as clients in various fields of aviation, including educational, personal, business, military, etc.

The Requirement

The customer was looking for a reliable service provider who could help him with high-precision data entry services. They wanted the data collection team to enter information such as temperature, wind speed, acceleration, etc., in the application of the pilot platform.

The Challenges

Our team had to face a few challenges while implementing the project -

1. Since the project results were being used in the airline industry, it was important for us to deliver error-free results
2. The client expected us to deliver data entry services with an accuracy level of over 99%

The Trial

The customer chose a trial period of two weeks. We provided the client with a full-time resource and the client provided the input information using online storage. The input data consisted of an Excel spreadsheet with detailed information about each trip, such as flight details, sea level, etc. The process included double data entry and was accompanied by three levels of quality control to ensure that the levels of accuracy were met.

Full-time Contract

After the customer was satisfied with the results of the trial, they handed over the entire project to us. This included data entry of over 15,000 entries, and each entry consisted of 12-15 columns. To meet this requirement, we allocated 6 staff resources to the project, each of which processed about 1,250 records per day.

Phase 2 of the Project

At the second stage of the project, the customer provided us with input files in the form of diagrams in image format. After entering the data into the tool, an axis was created and a region was defined. The tool was used to determine the coordinates. The customer wanted us to create PDF files that are presented in charts using the Webplot Digitizer tool.

For this phase of the project, we allocated 20 resources that would process 300 graphic images per day. The biggest problem for us was that the handwritten documents were difficult to understand.
