The Client

The client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of materials essential for digital printing. They provided high-quality large format printing at affordable rates to their customers. They also provided outdoor and indoor advertising items that are sought after in the advertisement industry.

Client Requirements

Flatworld Solutions was approached by the client with two main requirements. The first being HDR blending of real estate images, and the second was editing portrait images. The images shot in multiple exposures had to be blended manually using Adobe Photoshop. The portrait images had to be corrected for color and retouched using Photoshop as well.

Client Challenges

The challenge in this project was the high cost of carrying out image editing in-house. The client wanted to reduce the overhead expense of hiring a full-time editing team and purchasing pricey editing software.

Flatworld Solutions committed to undertake the project by delivering the trial service requested by the client. Initially, we received 8 images that were assigned to a single resource. The finished files were delivered in a day and sent back via Dropbox. The client was satisfied with the outcome and awarded the remainder of the project. We assigned the responsibilities to 2 resources where 3 images were delivered per day. The real estate images were delivered at $1200/month and the portrait images were edited at $400/month.

Results

The client was successful in increasing the revenue by outsourcing their requirement to us. We helped the client achieve a higher cost-saving by without the client owning resources or the image editing tools. The editing was accurately done as per the SLA.
