The Client

The client, a leading bank in India sought help with scanning and processing of their client's bank statements. They had contacted Flatworld Solutions to carry out the project because we had the right qualification and expertise to economically implement a dependable solution.

Client Requirements and Challenges

The bank wanted to ensure that parties to whom key customer accounts are transacting high-value transactions be identified. The rationale behind this activity is to identify such parties and approach them as potential leads. This will help the bank retain the net assets.

The challenge involved in the project - Availability of information on third-parties was extremely limited. Augmenting data from transaction information about the third-parties was needed.

FWS' Solution

FWS looked at the transaction information, augmented data about third parties from the web, extracted key annotators like the name of establishment, number of personnel, the value of organization, date of establishment and contact information. For this project, our team used Hadoop technology for information augmentation and Neo4j for graph analytics.

The Results

This information was projected as a graph for business users to quickly identify and target the potential clients. The client felt satisfied with the results because, with our solution, the client could grow their customer base.
