The Client

A top bank in India required the help of a third-party service provider to implement analytics workbench for streamlining the operational cost and performance of stored data. Analytics teams throughout client's organization have been using SAS with Oracle Operational Data Store on proprietary storage boxes. However, the performance wasn't satisfactory as data size grew. The client preferred Flatworld Solutions for the task because our experience in Big Data projects have led to successful results in the past.

Client Requirements and Challenges

FWS' many years of experience was benchmarked by the client before electing to partner with us. The bank wanted to integrate unstructured and streaming data through the implementation of advanced analytics workbench.

The challenge in the project was as follows -

• For operational reporting and SAS analytics, the bank had nearly 70TB of structured data in-house. But, unstructured data was unsupported
• Analytics team using SAS with Oracle Operational Data Store on proprietary storage boxes found that 70TB data had drastically slowed the system while pushing the expense even higher
